Come and visit the Golden Hinde, London’s replica Tudor warship. An authentic replica of the galleon in which Sir Francis Drake sailed around the world in 1577 – 1580, our ship has travelled over 140,000 miles. She is now permanently berthed on London’s South Bank and is visited by 1000s of visitors each year, of equal appeal to those interested in Tudor life at sea, Francis Drake, or pirates! Come along and explore for yourself, book a private party, see a tour (available 5 days a week throughout the summer) or come to one of our special events! |

| Guided Tours | ||||||||||||||||||
Let our skilled interpreters, dressed in Tudor costume, show your party around our ship. You will learn about life at sea for both officers and ordinary sailors, hear tales of Drake’s voyage around the world, and learn about weapons and warfare in the 16th century. Public guided tours take place at special events and are included in entrance fee. (See also events timetable) You can book a guided tour for your family and friends! Price including entrance fee: £7 per person, minimum fee is £70. Please contact us for further information. Needs to be booked in advance! |

| Family Over Night Living History Event | ||||||||||||||||||
Sleepover on the Golden Hinde! An unforgettable Living History Experience. After an afternoon and evening of activities aboard ship children and parents have the opportunity to sleep on the gundeck amongst the cannon. Actors tell scary stories at bedtime after a tasty dinner (vegetable stew and bread). A Tudor breakfast of bread and cheese is provided in the morning, followed by a snack of a doughnut and hot chocolate as you change back into your modern clothes and return to the 21st century! Family Over Night are shared between several families. If you would like a Private Family Overnight you need to book between 15 - 30 tickets and choose your own date. Facilities: A toilet is available on board. During your overnight stay you will be supported by two members of our staff and a security guard. Length: 16 ½ hours (5pm – 9.30am) |
